TONIGHT’S PROGRAM Quilt of Valor presentation to Ken Bass who served in Iraq. He sponsorsBattle Buddies, which is service dogs to veterans, and will speak about it.
The Battle Buddy Foundation (TBBF), was cofounded by Marine infantry combat veterans. TBBF is dedicated to serving our brothers/sisters in arms struggling with PTSD and other combat related injuries.

As an incorporated nonprofit organization, The Battle Buddy Foundation will offer treatment for Post Traumatic Stress through individual, group, and marital counseling at our Battle Buddy Foundation Centers. TBBF will have a separate program with a special focus on service dog placement.

TBBF will also work with local Veteran’s Courts to assist with diversion/treatment programs. TBBF will work to remove the stigma associated with Post Traumatic Stress on a national level, educate the public, and help guide our nation’s wounded Veterans to the needed resources.

TBBF is currently working to build the infrastructure to implement a service dog breeding and training program. It is designed to include the veteran in his/her service dog’s training, and maximize the service team’s bond early on in the development and training stages. All of the service dogs will be placed with the veterans after 8 weeks of age, and will train and prepare for the certification training/testing that will take place on the service dog’s 1st birthday. All of the service dog teams will meet for a week of intense training, ending with full service dog certifications.
